Heather is a tax partner at Forsters LLP, prior to which she led the London tax practice at King & Wood Mallesons LLP (formerly SJ Berwin) for over 10 years and was Co-Head of Tax for Europe and the Middle East there.
She has particular expertise in the real estate sector (both commercial and residential) advising on Stamp Duty Land Tax, VAT and direct taxes. She has structured numerous real estate transactions (both investment and development) and has acted on many schemes, Including care homes and student accommodation.
Her clients include domestic and international property investors and developers and institutional real estate investors, such as pension funds. Heather is a Chartered Tax Adviser, a regular speaker at conferences, contributes to BPF tax working groups and is a member of the Stamp Taxes Practitioners Group.
